Smog Dog Palm Desert is a TEST ONLY station, which is good news for you. Because our shop does not do any repair work, so we have nothing to gain by failing your vehicle. We will not benefit from the sale of repair work, and by law we cannot refer you to a specific business that does. That means fair, unbiased testing of your vehicle.
All smog services are conducted on a first come first serve basis, no exceptions please. Inspections take no more than 30 minutes to complete, most take less. If you think you will not be able to wait stay with your vehicle that long, feel free to drop your car off and it will be ready to pick up when you return

There are two notice types of notices directing vehicles to obtain a smog inspection. We can smog your vehicle regardless of what your notice says!
If your notice reads:
“Smog certification required”
or
“Smog Certification Required at a Test Only or Gold Shield station”

“All they do is smog testing, and they were quick & efficient. Walk-ins only, no appointments. About $60; for an extra $10 they can process your registration renewal & you walk out the door with your tags & paperwork. (I couldn't do it because of a previous PNO that wasn't cleared out of the system.) Nice little waiting room, and a great french bulldog mascot that will love you to death!”
